 Mr. Wallace, the consummate athlete!
Mr. Lindell Wallace, our respected principal, began his career in education in the mid-1960's as an elementary school teacher.  He soon advanced to principal at the elementary level.  Mr. Wallace has served as principal at Westhaven Elementary School, Norcom, Mapp, and Manor/Wilson High School.
Mr. Wallace graduated from high school in North Carolina and received a B.S. degree from Elizabeth City State University.  He went on to earn M.S. and C.A.S. degrees from Old Dominion University.
Our principal is happily married to his wife, Anne, a former Portsmouth teacher.  He has a daughter and a young grandson, age three.  In his spare time Mr. Wallace loves to play basketball and baseball as well as watching television.  When not working, he and his wife, Anne, travel as much as possible and go to see movies.
Mr. Wallace seeks to continue to work with the community to maintain an enrollment which enables students to become self-directed learners and productive citizens.  He believes that all students can learn.  This can be done by providing a positive educational experience and encouraging each individual student to be responsible for becoming a life-long learner.
