The Art Department has always played a big part in the curriculum at Woodrow Wilson High School. The department represents a long tradition of producing outstanding artists and designers. The art department is very active in producing participants for civic as well as area wide projects and competitions.
Preparing the craftsmen and designers of the future is the job of the Industrial Arts Department. Shop classes teach the future tradesmen to work with the tools, while the Mechanical Drawing classes show draftsmen how to build a better future.

A newcomer to Woodrow Wilson High School, Mr. Michael Spencer has joined the faculty as the  chairman of the mathematics department. He has  previously taught at I.C. Norcom for eight years  before coming to Wilson. He is a graduate of Old  Dominion University. He is a member of Va and  Tidewater Council of Teacher of Mathematics. Mr.

As a colleague, Miss Eason was dedicated to a high standard of achievement, she always preformed each task with diligence and with utmost care. These were qualities that she instilled in her students. She refused to compromise excellence for mediocrity; yet, she was fair, compassionate, and understanding. Her effectiveness as a teacher is evident in the fact that many of her former students are now instructors of mathematics because of her inspiration and motivation. Miss Eason was a mathematics teacher for 36 years, the last 12 years at Wilson. Her dedication and devotion touched most of our lives and will be remembered by students and faculty alike at  Woodrow Wilson.
