Wilson's Olympic Hopeful
Wilson High is so very proud of it's rising star, LaTasha Colander. She was ranked number 1 in the USA in 1993 and 1994 in both the 55 meter hurdles and the 300 meter dash. LaTasha holds state records in the 100 meter hurdles, 55 meter hurdles, and the 300 meter dash.
LaTasha is such a well-rounded individual. Not only is she a great athlete, she is an honor student. She is in the National Honor Society and was elected by the entire Wilson High student body as the 1993 Homecoming Queen. She was selected as the Indoor Athlete of the Year '93 by Track and Field News, the Norfolk Sports Club, and the Portsmouth Sports Club. Wilson High School is proud of LaTasha Colander

This year's girls tennis team was a result of a merge of Manor and Wilson. The team consisted of four returning players from Manor, Krista, Jamie, Mandy, and Kristie. The Wilson players were Antionette, Mindy, Danielle, Kim, and Ericka. The tw9 schools worked hard together to provide the new Wilson with tennis represenative.
