Woodrow Wilson’s Homecoming began on Monday, October 19, 1998 with Spirit Week. Monday was Mismatch Day,
Tuesday was Switch Day, Wednesday was Class Color Day, Thursday was Oldies Day, Friday was School Color Day. Our
homecoming assembly/pep rally was held Friday October 23, 1998 at 7:30 a.m. During the assembly all grade level repre-sentatives were announced by Mr. Claud as follows: Mr. & Mrs. Freshman — Lucreisha Clark & Aaron Pierce, Mr. & Mrs. Sophomore — Michelle Potts & Mario Marin, Mr. & Mrs. Junior — Jessica Bowers & James Wynn III, and Mr. & Mrs. Senior — Tracy Holliman & Marc Allmond. The Homecoming King and Queen candidates were Miss Bekah Jarman, Miss Kimberly Lewis, Miss Jimeka Fitzgerald, Mr. Andre Gilmore, Mr. Jimmy Key, and Mr, Derek Barnes. The Homecoming King and Queen were not announced until Friday October 23, 1998 at 7 pm during the halftime ceremonies. Mrs. Bechtol was qracious enough to announce the winners of the 1998 Homecoming Court. The winners for Homecoming King and Queen were Mr. Derek Barnes and Miss Bekah Jarman. Wilson Varsity Football Team gave a good effort, however, it just wasn’t enough, they lost to Lake Taylor, 19 to 0.
