Students made the ultimate con-tribution by donating their blood to help the American Red Cross. Various reasons were given, but the primary one was to help the needy. Some felt that this would help for surgery, and that one day they might need blood themselves. Michael Caine wanted “to help mankind,” and Norwood Jordan just “wanted society to know that he cared.”
